We’re Wade and Stacie, a husband-and-wife team sailing the world aboard SV Fika, our floating home and adventure vessel. Originally from Colorado and now empty nesters, we’ve set out to embrace a life of freedom and adventure, exploring the beauty of God’s creation and visiting remote locations others only dream of.

SV Fika is a 1972 Mason 48 ketch-rigged sailboat with a full keel, dual swing keels, and a Perkins 4.236 diesel motor. She’s powered by 800Ah of BattleBorn lithium batteries, 3x415W solar panels, and a full Victron power management system, ensuring we can stay self-sufficient wherever the wind takes us.

As we make final preparations for our around-the-world journey, we remind ourselves of a simple truth: In 20 years, we’d be more upset by the things we didn’t do than the things we did—a philosophy that keeps us chasing the horizon and embracing every challenge along the way.
Join us as we document our adventures, share the highs and lows of cruising, and set sail into the unknown!
